15 The Jews were astonished, and they wondered, “How has this man acquired such knowledge when he has never studied?”[a] 16 Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.
17 Anyone who resolves to do his will
will know whether my teaching comes from God
or whether I am speaking on my own authority.
